HVV Combi-Ticket at on:Tickets
Zuletzt aktualisiert: 13. Mai 2026
What is the HVV combi-ticket?
The HVV combi-ticket is a public-transport authorisation issued by the Hamburg public transport network (HVV) that allows free travel to and from selected events when used together with an event ticket.
Organisers on on:Tickets can enable this service on a per-event basis as long as they hold a valid combi-ticket contract with HVV. The artwork approved by HVV (logo or the wording "incl. hvv") is automatically rendered on every ticket — on the PDF, in the online wallet, and in Apple Wallet and Google Wallet.
Coverage and validity
The HVV combi-ticket is valid on the event day from 00:00 until 06:00 the following morning, for both the outbound and return journey to the event venue.
It is valid in fare zones A through F and is accepted on every HVV mode of transport — including bus, U-Bahn, S-Bahn, regional trains (second class), and the HADAG harbour ferries.
First-class upgrade (optional)
The HVV combi-ticket is valid for second class by default. Travellers who wish to use first class can purchase a matching upgrade directly from HVV — the current prices (€3.70 per trip, €6.30 per day, €54.30 per month) are listed in the HVV fare table.
Personalisation and transferability
The combi-ticket is tied to a named holder and bound to a specific event ticket. It must be presented together with the event ticket at the venue entrance or during a ticket inspection on public transport.
Provided the organiser allows transfers, the ticket can be re-personalised via the transfer link in the confirmation email up to one day before the event. Multiple uses — for example, additional trips to other events on the same day — are not permitted.
Delivery formats
on:Tickets always delivers the HVV combi-ticket alongside the event ticket. It is available in the following formats:
• Print-at-home PDF with the approved HVV artwork next to the QR code
• Online wallet in the browser at My Tickets
• Apple Wallet (.pkpass) and Google Wallet as a save-to-wallet pass
Event postponement or cancellation
If an event is rescheduled, the HVV combi-ticket is automatically valid on the new event date during the same time window.
If an event is cancelled outright, the HVV combi-ticket expires as well; there is no separate refund claim against HVV. Any refund of the event ticket itself is governed by the organiser's terms and conditions.
Costs and responsibilities
Settlement of the HVV combi-ticket takes place directly between the organiser and HVV in accordance with the combi-ticket contract concluded between them. on:Tickets does not charge an additional fee for rendering the artwork or for delivering it across all ticket channels.
The organiser is solely responsible for registering the event with HVV and for complying with the HVV combi-ticket conditions.
Further information
The currently applicable conditions, fares, and coverage areas are published by HVV at hvv.de. The official publications of the Hamburg public transport network are authoritative in every case.
