tryptaj, or Typpie for short, calls himself a “bounce engineer”: a DJ and producer from Hamburg. He started out with techno and hardcore, but ended up sticking with hard bounce, featuring nonstop basslines. He taught himself to DJ at age 15, and since moving to Hamburg in 2022, he has won several DJ contests. In 2025, he founded the groove-trance collective TRYBE, which organizes free open-air events in Hamburg, as well as Secret Tryp. He has performed in clubs in Hamburg, Berlin, and other German cities.
